Drive Down Highway 1
This was Bishop’s favorite beach to hang out in his youth. It’s protected by the wind on both sides, making it great for hanging out all day with a book.
Spend the Day at Sunny Cove
This swimming hole in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is Bishop’s favorite way to see redwoods while taking a refreshing dip.
Hike + Swim at the Garden of Eden
Rides and arcade games in classic amusement park fashion, right on the ocean. Bishop’s favorite ride is The Fireball. You couldn’t pay Jess to get on that thing.
Fun Time at Santa Cruz Boardwalk
Some of Jess’s favorite coffee roasters are headquarted in Santa Cruz. Check out Verve and Cat & Cloud, and grab some beans to take home.
Drink Fantastic Local Coffee
A novelty gem on the Santa Cruz pier. Get a tiki drink and Hawaiian-inspired bites while looking out at the bay from a rotating platform. Great place to see seals!
